CNC Taps Industry Veteran Sean Drew as Engineering Manager
CNC Technologies, an aviation technology and wireless communications company serving the law enforcement, military and government markets, announced today it has hired industry veteran Sean Drew as engineering manager. Drew will play a key role in the design and implementation of advanced microwave downlink and communications solutions for the company’s fast-growing roster of law enforcement and public safety agency clients.
Drew brings nearly two decades of experience to the position, joining CNC from Integrated Microwave Technologies where he served as business development manager, law enforcement and public safety. Key assignments included converting broadcasters from analog ENG systems to digital during the Sprint/Nextel BAS Spectrum Reallocation and providing covert and overt wireless video solutions to the U.S. Department of Justice. He also worked closely with law enforcement agencies to expand their downlink receive capabilities, bringing live HD video and data transmission to portable devices, maritime units and mobile command centers.
“Sean is an engineering pro who brings a phenomenal grasp of both the technology and the needs of the law enforcement and government communities to our team,” said Ron Magocsi, founding partner and chief technology officer at CNC Technologies. “He will be an integral part of our growth as we continue to expand our business and service offerings to meet the needs of the world’s most demanding agencies.”
Founded by industry leaders Alex Giuffrida and Ron Magocsi, CNC Technologies provides major operators with a single source solution for the design, development and implementation of large scale aerial surveillance, counterterrorism and transmission systems. The company recently announced record results for 2017 with revenues growing to $15 million as the firm added a raft of new clients including the Los Angeles Police Department, Michigan State Police, Ohio State Patrol, Atlanta Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) and Broward County Sheriff.
